ABS
Warning the following content contains bad "jokes": (As I am writing this it is (I think) the 66th day since going to an actual school building ended) You might be wondering why the title of this thing is ABS, well its a completely made up acronym that stands for A Bunch of Stuff ([I was gonna put my bad opening joke in here, but I decided not to]). It is sad to say but that is the best opening "joke" I could come up with while laying awake in bed trying to fall asleep for 6 hours. I don't blame you if you don't want to read the rest of this, remember just because I've got to write it doesn't mean you have to read it. I don't think I would want to read that much about detailed daily routines of people during quarantine, I mean the most exciting things I probably did are paint a garage and receive a paycheck for the shoveling work I did over the winter. A synopsis of my day (not in any particular order) is food, homework, studying, workout, reading, maybe play some games, watch a movie or show (no, I haven't seen Tiger King), maybe write some bad jokes (or this bad piece of writing) and maybe play some saxophone and/or piano. And every day I learn some new stuff like apparently
the US only has 4% of the world's population, and you might be like "that can't be right" and I thought that too, but then I looked out the window and saw some tumbleweeds and thought "yeah, definitely too high" (I'm so sorry if you are still reading this, but not really, because I did kind of warn you; I don't know what you were expecting to get by continuing to read this). On to the next thing. I feel like there has been a lot of homework recently, more than we got at normal school, but then again its also harder in my opinion because you have all these distractions around you, like right now instead of righting this I could be watching TV or something. But instead I am writing this, and you are reading it. At least I have a reason for writing this. But I've realized that even with lots of homework most people should still be able to complete it all, I'm pretty lazy, but I've had to stop being lazy to be able to survive the schoolwork during this time,
and it helped me realize that you can accomplish almost anything you put your mind to if you have even the least amount of skill, but somehow I have also managed to accomplish the task of finishing the homework too. Recently though I have been struggling with horrible wifi, and even then I can accomplish the homework by using my time well, working on the homework that doesn't require wifi while the wifi was extra bad, and working on the stuff that did require wifi while it was "working". But honestly I think that this quarantine has really helped me out a lot, I've had a lot of time to think and do other things like workout more, and read more, and just everything more. And I feel like I have grown as a person, maybe in height too, I will have to check how tall I am when I'm done writing this. But I don't need to check to find out that I've grown in weight, I guess thats what a workout routine of mainly walking from the fridge to the couch or somewhere else will do to you. But it's just important to realize that everyone is important and we can all achieve what we set out to do if we push ourselves to do it, and just to have faith in yourself.
I'm not a super religious person, but we all need something to believe in, so if not (some) god or santa, believe in yourself.
Also its important to stay fit (and busy), so I'm just gonna say my workout routine (and maybe even exaggerate it a bit to make me seem like I'm less lazy) (just kidding that's a joke, I do try to do the following stuff almost every day) Everyday I try to do 50 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, at least 10 pull-ups, and then some curl-ups (not the kind you are thinking, I'm talking about where I curl up into a ball and just lay there for a while because I am dying from exhaustion), no but really after those push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups I do at least 20 curls on each arm with a 20 pound weight, sometimes I do planks, and sometimes I run like 2 miles on the treadmill. And all that stuff that I just mentioned is probably what I will be doing for most of the summer. Yeah, I've fallen a long way from a trip to Africa or even just sword fighting classes or a job. Yeah even the homework part, I'm gonna probably be taking some online college courses or something. In conclusion: I learned some new stuff, and I got to re-learn some stuff (like piano) and try some new things.
Quarantine has been fun sometimes, bad other times, and boring a lot of the time. Which is why it is important to do ABS. (See the title did end up being at least semi-relevant in the end).
(Also I just found out I lost my job to the boss's grandson, hooray for nepotism! But it doesn’t really matter, I can find a new one pretty easily).
